attended 2 shows, at yesterday’s show she was Res Challenge Bitch and at
today’s show she won a lovely Best of Breed! Well done Stephen 😊
At 7 mths Ruby dog and her owner Karen had their first ever shows at Gympie Kennel Club
in the undercover arena of Kilkivan Showgrounds.
They both did an excellent job with Ruby even giving a tail wag as the judge came up to her😍

1st place: Noah – KORURIDGE THE WAY OF WATER (IMP NZ)
Puppy male 5 months old, excellent size and proportion for his age, good bone, lovely masculine head, nice ear placement, dark brown eyes, good depth of muzzle, excellent stop, good bone, good angulation front and rear, excellent top line, good feet, lovely ridge, nice colour, lovely temperament, excellent presentation.
2nd place: Rubin – RIGINAL HURRICANE
3.5 months old baby, lovely expression, heavy bone, lovely puppy head, some loose skin, sweet expression, good ear set, lovely dark eyes, excellent angulation front and rear, top line a bit soft in the movements, good croup, excellent angulation front and rear, lovely ridge, nice colour, lovely temperament.
Baby Puppy Bitch Class (7 entries, 1 absent)
4th place: Didgie – RIGINAL LAY LADY LAY
3.5 months, excellent type of baby, lovely outline. Excellent size for age. Beautiful feminine head, a bit short in muzzle, lovely eyes and expression, excellent ear setting. Lovely neck, excellent forechest, excellent angulation front and rear. Good bone, good feet, good top line. Croup a little flat with a high tail sitting, a bit high on hocks. Lovely movement around the ring for such a young baby. Very stable. Lovely to watch. Excellent coat, colour and ridge. Excellent temperament and well presented.
Junior Bitch Class (13 entries, 4 absent)
5th place: Gia – RIGINAL FREE MY SOUL
13 month old, excellent size, a bit long in body, lovely head with very nice proportions, good length and depth of muzzle, lovely sweet eyes, good ears, very long and elegant and clean neck, very nice angulations in front and rear, good bones for her size, standing a bit french in her front, excellent top line, a bit long in loin, excellent croup and tail setting, very nice gait from all sides, excellent coat, colour and ridge, excellent temperament, nice presentation.
Open Bitch Class (17 entries, 3 absent)
2nd place: Gigi – CH RIGINAL HOLD ME CLOSER TINY DANCER
Excellent type, a lower size bitch, heavy in bone, excellent body and body proportion. Lovely head. Good flat skull. Excellent stop, good depth and length of muzzle. Have a bit loose skin, excellent elegant neck, good bones, compact feet. Standing a bit french in the front. Good depth of chest, excellent angulation front and rear, in movement, a bit narrow behind, excellent from the side with a good stride, excellent coat, colour and ridge, good temperament, well handled.
3rd place: Flare – GR CH ALMAZART CAPTIVE FYRE
7.5 year old excellent type, excellent features, lovely size. Excellent bone size. Powerful bitch. Excellent head with good proportion. Lovely eyes, good ear setting, good length and depth of muzzle, short neck, excellent angulation front and rear, good feet, excellent movement from all sides, very typical for the breed, excellent coat, colour and ridge, nice temperament, well handled.

While we were in Brisbane Western attended the Cardiac clinic at the National
with Dr G Nicholson. We also had her hips and elbows xrayed for scoring . Happy to receive excellent results for both 💕

Rhodesian Ridgebacks were on at the Brisbane Royal on Monday 14th August, I could only stay
part of the day so didn’t take any dogs. But I got to watch the first show where
Gigi – Ch Riginal Hold Me Closer Tiny Dancer was first in Australian Bred Bitch, well done Stephen she looked beautiful💕

So good to have lure coursing held on the 3rd day of the 13th Rhodesian Ridgeback National 2023!
It was a good chance to give Pirate and Western a try while I was there 😊
Would defintely give her another try though. Western was totally uninterested,
but did run “away” from the lure LOL

This year the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Qld hosted the 13th Rhodesian Ridgeback National!
A big congratulations to the committee and all the workers and helpers on a very well run show,
they thought of everything and the trophy table was amazing 😊
Such a big weekend, was great to catch up with everyone albeit far too briefly!
Judge was Nada Nikolic of Kinyemi Rhodesian Ridgebacks Denmark, hope you enjoyed your time in Australia 😊

In 4th place was Jai – Ch Taiping Hot Hot Hot owned & bred by Wendy.
Could definitely see what the judge liked in this class with our placings being a
Ruger – Gr Ch Neut Ch Rex Ventors Rare Edition ET Imp Sweden daughter & two Granddaughters!
The Breeder’s Team Class was held at the National for the first time,
this class is a minimum of four dogs all bred under the same prefix.
Very proud to say that with an entry of seven teams our dogs placed first 😊
